GERMANY / Lower Saxony / Bodenwerder / Memorial of Baron Munchhausen with half horse near Weser pier. The sculpture was a draft by sculptor Bonifatius Stirnberg in 1997. In the small town, the also nicknamed Baron of Lies is all present. There are the Munchhausen Museum, a grotto, fountain and few statues of him. The Weser forms through the confluence of the rivers Fulda and Werra in Hannoversch Muenden. With a length of 452 kilometres, it is the fifth longest river in Germany.
